Zona Balnear do Meimão – Penamacor

Just 20 minutes from our place! This relaxation area is open from late June to early September. At the foot of the lake, you can relax, take a walk, go paddleboarding or kayaking.

But you can also choose not to go to this area and walk around the lake, bring a picnic, and relax by the lake in the heart of the Malcata Reserve.

Praia Fluvial O Moinho – Benquerença

Just 15 minutes from our place! This relaxing area with its refreshing little river might also appeal to you. Picnics are allowed, or you can simply enjoy a snack on the grounds.

Ribeira de Meimoa River Beach – Penamacor

15 minutes from our place. A small park by the river. Ideal for adults and children alike. Cool water, a small bar, and a snack bar 🙂 Quiet in July, but busier in August. 10 minutes from Lake Meimao!

Just 20 minutes from our place. What can I say about this magical little spot? Only 5-10 minutes from Monsanto, this little slice of paradise will charm you. If you’re a climber, don’t hesitate to go!

Small natural pools, a high-altitude lake, a walk to the old fort and the watermills. It’s definitely worth the detour. Go early to get a spot and then enjoy Monsanto 🙂

Piscinas Municipais de Penamacor

Just 5 minutes from our farm! Right at the top of our village, with a truly affordable price that covers the whole day, this pool will win you over! There are actually two pools… one for adults and one for children. The opening hours are only for the summer! And you should check online before going. There’s also a restaurant on site 🙂

Praia Fluvial de Loriga

1H30 from us. Yes, yes, it might seem like a long way, but honestly, you won’t be disappointed! The beauty of the landscape, the crystal-clear water at the foot of the Serra da Estrela mountains is simply breathtaking! However, ladies and gentlemen… don’t expect warm water!! The water comes from the mountains… so it’s quite cold 🙂
